KA-MON
Three Fires, One Kitchen
Singapore's first restaurant combining three iconic Japanese grilling traditions. Each transforms ingredients differently.
Irori 地炉
Ancient sunken hearth. Slow-grilled over charcoal for deep, layered richness. Since the Jomon period. Try: Tiger Prawn (S$10)
Robatayaki 炉端焼
Fireside charcoal grill. Interactive spectacle, intensifying umami. Try: Oyster (S$10), Aged Duck (S$36)
Warayaki 藁焼
Straw-fire at 800-900°C. Sears outside, raw inside. Unmistakable smokiness. Try: Tuna Tataki (S$32)
About KA-MON
A decade after Syun, Chef Hal Yamashita opened KA-MON as its casual, fire-driven counterpart. Designed by Steve Leung — 80 seats with open kitchen showcasing three grilling stations simultaneously.
The name combines '火紋' (fire crest — family legacy) with 'Come on!' U-shaped seating wraps the open kitchen. Counter seats offer the most immersive fire experience.
All à la carte, designed for sharing. Start with Organic Eggs & Ikura (S$12). The Tiger Prawn (S$10) is exceptional value. The Tuna Wara Tataki (S$32) is the showstopper. Aged Duck (S$36) is the meat lover's pick.

Your Dining Journey
Fire Meets You at the Door
Visible from monorail exit. Open kitchen with three grilling stations commands attention. U-shaped 80-seat Steve Leung design. Counter seats for full immersion.
Start Light, Build Bold
Order on the tablet by technique. Tiger Prawn (S$10) is best value. Tuna Wara Tataki is the dramatic centrepiece. Wagyu Tartare pairs beautifully with sake.
Finish with Fire and Sweetness
Close with Mont Blanc Flower dessert. Add garlic rice or ochazuke if hungry. Pair with Izumibashi Junmai sake (S$33/180ml).
Editor's Note
KA-MON fills a gap Singapore didn't know it had. Tiger Prawn (S$10) is best value; Tuna Wara Tataki (S$32) is the must-order. Counter seats are the premium experience. Open daily — more flexible than Syun. One of the best dinner options on Sentosa after USS/Oceanarium.
