Iberico Culture

Iberico: heritage black pig, free-range 2 years in oak forests, acorn diet. Bellota = highest grade. Gochi-So's innovation: Japanese technique + Spanish ingredient. Cross-cultural fusion unique to SG.

Iberico Bellota: 55–60% oleic acid (like olive oil). Acorn diet responsible. Low-melting fat = melts in mouth. Gochi-So: binchotan grill + donburi format = Spain-Japan cultural bridge.

Your Experience

Promenade Exit B → L2 #02-16. Walk-in. Pork Jowl Don S$13.50. Break onsen egg → cascade over charred pork → mix with rice. Smoky + nutty + rich = extraordinary. 20–30 min. S$13.50 for CBD's most unique donburi.

Tips: (1) Follow IG for 50% off promos. (2) Belly Don S$9.80 = best-value entry. (3) Weekday 11:30 quietest. (4) Split with Saboten (same floor): Iberico katsu vs traditional katsu. Same floor, two philosophies. Educational + delicious.

Editor's Note

Our honest take

Unique in CBD: Iberico Bellota at casual prices. Jowl Don S$13.50 = must-order. Inconsistent between visits sometimes. Simple presentation. For traditional katsu → Saboten upstairs. For Iberico specifically: only option in CBD. S$9.80 Iberico bowl = earned its place.
